Sports

This place is so crazy about their sports. Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics get all kinds of love year round. I have never seen so many grown men wearing jerseys in one city. I know Orlando loves the Magic but its nothing compared to the obsession that Boston has with their teams. I have felt a bit uncomfortable, in fact, walking around here and not caring at all for any Boston team whatsoever. Like a fraud. Actually i feel like I'm back in Gainesville and i don't own any Florida Gators gear. I do own a Red Sox t shirt that was given to me for my birthday but know very little about the player whose number i wear. Apparently he's very handsome and the ladies love him. But i don't really care about these teams.

Until i found out about one today. The New England Revolution is so far #1 in the eastern standings! We have a Soccer team! AND a good one!

I'm going to become a total Revolution groupie!

Geocaching

Went geocaching today. Sooo ridiculously hot outside but at least our hunting sent us into the shaded woods. I shouldn't have worn shorts tho, my legs are torn up from the tree i half climbed to find the last cache.

I took a pair of Smith and Wesson Shooting Glasses from the cache and immediately had to put them on. Those glasses, combined with the ammo box geocache, made me look very suspicious indeed.

A watch!

Happy Birthday to meeeeeee

(I'm blowing out the candle on a single slice of key lime pie)

The first birthday i spent without my family was quiet. Too quiet.

I went hiking again this morning! Climbed different hills. The shock of going up a hill was less severe this time around. It still hurt to do it but my body was prepared and reassured me that i could make it up and back down the hill side just fine because i had done it before. It was a lovely way to spend the morning.

And now i think i should go rent a car just because i won't have to pay the underage penalty fees.
