I use multi million dollar satellite technology to find tupperware in the woods.

This Geocache required pirate poetry to be left in the logbook before you could take any "treasure" out of the box. I left a haiku that went something along the lines of:
Pirates Rob and Rich
must surrender the booty.
Or the parrot dies.

Pirate Rob there has discovered some kind of jellyman.

I went geocaching with the folks while in Virginia for Labor Day weekend. There was a cache out in the middle of extremely high brush and none of us were dressed for it really. I told mom and dad to wait for me while i forced my way through the undergrowth and to the prize. They, being awesome, refused to stay behind and broke trail through that mess. Mom in front, because she is Rambo and hardcore like that. Dad bringing up the rear and occasionally getting us back on course.

Mom found the cache!

:D

I was sitting here at my desk, freaked about all the work that still needs to get done and pretty much banging my head against the wall. And then i felt something lick my leg. I jumped, but didn't scream, and looked down to find that a PUPPY had wandered into my office. A little hotdog puppy was sitting at my feet and gnawing on my shoe. NO IDEA where he came from. I played with him for a few minutes and then he left. Crazyness. I feel better though. lol

Urgh

There aren't enough hours in the day. Things picked up significantly since that carefree weekend long ago with Aleta. Now everyone is panicked and rushed and there are 9,999,999,999 things to do and only 24 hours in which to do them. Not even that really since according to the union i can only work a certain many hours a week or else i get into trouble. Too much stuff. Do. Not. Want. I'm looking forward to hanging out with the folks in VA this weekend tho i know the week till then will be hell. As will be the week after. I'm hoping that things settle down by October. Just gotta hang in there for another 5 weeks...

Day 3

I look like i'm about to break into a dance.

Oh noes!

And Day 3 was spent in Salem! It was kind of creepy. We took a train for 10 bucks (round trip) from North Station into the Salem station. From there we walked for about 5 minutes and ran into a red painted line on the ground that leads you to all the places of interest in the city. Its a lot like the Freedom Trail. And i can't pass up the opportunity to follow a mysterious painted line on the floor.

Day 2

We spent the 2nd day at Harvard. Well actually we started in Harvard but i was playing with the gps and managed to wander us down to the Harvard Observatory in search of a geocache. We found it, hooray! But my shoe was attacked by a bug. Aleta sent a picture to her husband via camera phone and he told us it was a butterfly larvae.

Then we got lost on the way home.
